I’m really excited to unveil UpstateBusinessBlog, a community for small businesses to connect, learn, and share ideas. 

 

After weeks of searching for an online resource where I could connect with small businesses, as well as find out the latest business news that impacts the Upstate community, I found that there just wasn’t much out there.  Small businesses constantly rely on and turn to other local businesses and professionals for assistance, information and support, so I wanted to come up with a way we could make that easier.

 

What can you expect from the UpstateBusinessBlog?  Current information on issues and events that affect our local business community as well as tips and ideas that can help keep our businesses exciting, fun and successful.

 

As a member of the Greater Greenville Association of REALTORS, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business, I have access to ongoing professional development information, networking opportunities, as well as relationships with small business leaders.  And I plan to use all of this as a resource to provide you with ongoing news and information.  

 

Also, I’ll be profiling various small businesses of the Upstate each week in my UpstateBusiness Showcase.  This will hopefully serve as somewhat of a business directory that will give you a close up view of companies and their owners or leaders.  This should make it easeir to choose who you want to do business with as well as create lots of networking opportunities.

 

We all are living “on the go.”  We have stacks of newspapers, trade publications, newsletters and emails to sift through on a daily basis.  I truly hope that this online resource can be a “one stop shop” place for you to go to find out information that directly affects you and your business.  I encourage you to participate, comment and provide suggestions.  This is our community and everyone can make a difference in how the UpstateBusinessBlog evolves.  Welcome!
